– Scripturally called and qualified to hold the office of pastor/elder (1 Timothy 3:2-7, Titus 1:5-9)
– In alignment with the beliefs and teachings of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, including the doctrines of salvation by grace that it contains
– Burden for the lost
– Able to teach the Word of God effectively and accurately
– Experience in preaching and preaching
– Willingness to share the teaching and preaching load
– Seminary degree required (Master of Divinity preferred) and 3+ years minimum pastoral experience required.


– Will lead the church in ongoing ministries wherein God will open doors for evangelism (Col0ssians 4:3). Examples: Through events at our church; Representing the church at events in community; Special services geared toward unbelievers
– Lead proactive efforts to meet people in the community (Matthew 5:14)
– Help follow-up with first-time guests
– Share the teaching and preaching load


– Work full-time (48 hours, which includes church services and ministry both in and outside the office)
– Assume additional responsibilities (preaching, teaching, hospital visits, weddings, funerals, counseling) as assigned by the senior pastor and as able.
– Report to the senior pastor.


– Salary $30,000 – $40,000
– Parsonage, including utilities and maintenance

– Additional benefits available (total package valued $80-95k)
