Oak Grove Baptist Church

Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ashdown Arkansas is a local, visible community of baptized believers covenanted together for the purpose of glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.  Her aim is to follow the only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and please Him in all that she does.  The church is made up primarily of rural SW Arkansas families living around the Ashdown area with a healthy mixture of all age groups.  OG is distinctly an elder lead congregation following the core truths of the Bible which have been held by the church throughout the ages and particularly since the Protestant reformation.  The church encourages family and personal devotions and a lifestyle that exhibits both true Christian love and personal holiness.  OG is distinct as a body accountable to one another and in submission to the authority of Scripture as the final arbiter on all issues and practices church discipline where sin is evident with the hope of repentance and restoration in the spirit of love.  Loving God and loving others is the daily goal as knowing God and being known by Him is the greatest hope.
