Job Description
Position Summary
The Student Director at The King’s Chapel provides spiritual leadership and organizational oversight for all student ministry programming for grades 6-12. This role is responsible for cultivating a Christ-centered environment where middle and high school students grow in their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and actively engage in the life of the church.
The Student Director will lead, shepherd, and equip students, volunteers, and families while aligning all ministry efforts with The King’s Chapel’s mission and theology.
Key Responsibilities
Ministry Leadership & Development
-Lead students in spiritual formation through teaching, discipleship, and mentorship.
-Develop and implement a biblically sound curriculum for middle and high school ministries.
-Foster a culture of prayer, worship, and discipleship.
-Provide pastoral care and support to students and their families.
-Oversee all student ministry programs for grades 6–12.
-Plan weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, camps, and special events.
Volunteer & Staff Leadership
-Recruit, train, and develop volunteers.
-Provide support and training for leaders.
-Comply with and complete all safety training and coordinate safety training.
Administration & Communication
-Coordinate schedules and logistics.
-Communicate with parents and students.
-Ensure safety and training compliance.
-Partner with church leadership and staff.
-Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, purchasing as needed.
-Develop and manage an annual ministry budget and calendar.
-Submit ministry highlights, advertisements, and information for the weekly church newsletter and family meetings.
-Demonstrate proficiency with technology, media, and standard office systems and planning tools
Additional Responsibilities
-Attend regular staff meetings and staff functions
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Characteristics
-A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of The King’s Chapel.
-A calling to student ministry and a heart for partnering with families in discipleship.
-Bachelor’s degree required.
-Master of Divinity (M.Div.) preferred.
-Experience working in student ministry is preferred.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Position Details
Status: Full-time
Schedule: Includes Sundays and occasional evenings for events and trainings
Reports to: Associate Pastor of Ministries
