Our Church DNA
Population of City – 24,000
Population of County – 445,000
Community Overview
Our church building is in a very desirable township in Medford, New Jersey. We are located 30 minutes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and 45 minutes from the Jersey shore. Medford serves as a hub of business and culture for this region.
Why People Like Living Here
With an average enrollment of 1,800 students, there are five high schools within a 15-minute drive from the church, demonstrating the church’s central location to the surrounding townships of Marlton, Medford, Mount Holly, Mount Laurel, and Tabernacle. Members of the congregation live in these communities as well as many other townships beyond a 15-minute commute. There is great variety in neighborhoods when choosing where to live, with many amenities that appeal to families. The public schools are very good, reporting strong graduation rates and college admission. In addition, there are some private and Christian schools in the surrounding area.
Church History
Our founding Pastor started Fellowship Alliance Chapel as a small group in his living room in Shamong, New Jersey in 1980, and over 40 years it grew to over 2000 people. Our facilities and staff have been expanded to strengthen and equip our growing church family. After moving into our new sanctuary in 2016, we experienced some growing pains, church fatigue, and some leadership transition, one of which was the beginning of succession planning for our founding pastor. In May 2020, the search team was formed, and Pastor Seth took the baton from Marty Berglund on June 6th, 2021. Since June 6th we’ve experienced a renewed sense of anticipation for what God has in our future, and a growing sense of unity around our identity and calling as a congregation.
The Property
The Worship Center is our newest building. It is a 1600 seat sanctuary with first-rate early childhood space as well as a lobby with a full cafe and kitchen, opened in 2016. The footprint of our 2 previous worship spaces are now attached and primarily are used for fellowship and ministry training in addition to an on-site classical Christian school. Our old sanctuary seats 800 and our Chapel 200, with some adjoining classrooms and lobbies. All these facilities sit on 80 acres, with another 80 acres across the street that is undeveloped as well as a fully functioning day camp campground 20 minutes away.
