About Church
Mission Statement
We exist to cultivate a passion for the Glory of God through practicing and proclaiming His Word.
Core Values
God-Glorifying
The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Jesus died so that he could bring us to God. The most precious words a human will speak or sing will be those concerning Holy God. Therefore, it is no strange thought that the purpose of the bride of Christ, the Church, is to reflect the nature and character of Christ. We desire to be a church fixed on God, not man. We seek to Love God with all our hearts, knowing that is the only way to truly love our neighbors. (Isa. 6:1-12, Rev. 5:1-14, John 17:1-5)
Word-Centered
Scripture is God-breathed. Our conviction is that the normal means of grace is the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. The heart of an evangelical church is the preached Word of God. All that the church has been commissioned to do must be accomplished through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. Our philosophy of ministry is to follow the methods only given to us in the scripture, which we believe to be sufficient. Right use of the ordinances, and preaching of God’s Word’s are the mark of a true church. (John 1:1, 17:17, 2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Disciple-Making
Our church will seek to make disciples through church membership. Seeking to share the gospel with those who aren’t followers of Christ, we pray God would give them the new birth. We pray we will be able to baptize those who make right professions of faith and show fruit of repentance. Baptism is the door into church membership; communion is the continuing affirmation of church membership. Church membership is about responsibility to participate in spreading the gospel, care of other members, and supporting the mission and unity of the Church. Members should seek to participate and grow in His kingdom through its local expression, the church. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8 1 Cor. 12:1-31)
Family-Focused
Outside of the Church, God’s primary unit of division in humanity is the family. God has ordained this unit to be a picture of the relationship between Christ and His Church. The purpose is to nurture and disciple the next generation to be His followers. We want to structure church in such a way that the family is encouraged to worship, serve, and grow together. (Deut. 6:1-8, Eph. 5:22-6:4)
