Job Description
Bethany Bible Church, 511Eagle Lake Rd., Big Lake, MN 55309
Bethany Bible Church is currently seeking a full-time vocational pastor/teacher responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and administrative leadership, overseeing Bethany Bible Church’s spiritual health and mission (along with the other elders in unanimity).
Overview:
Bethany is a loving and welcoming nondenominational Bible church of the Reformed tradition. The worship and exaltation of Jesus Christ is our prime objective. This is accomplished through the faithful exposition of the Scriptures from the pulpit. Bethany is also a family-oriented church that displays the love of Christ with an atmosphere that promotes the use of individual spiritual gifts.
Our worship style is blended with an emphasis on the content of music being Biblical and worshipful.
Our church government is elder-led. The elders working in unanimity lead the church under the direction of the Holy Spirit and by the Word of God, which is its sole standard for faith and practice.
As a nondenominational church, Bethany is affiliated with Common Slaves of Minnesota, Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (F.I.R.E.), and Church & Family Life (formerly The National Council of Family Integrated Churches).
Bethany is currently supporting both foreign and domestic missionary endeavors.
Bethany affirms and adheres to the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689.
Our current pastor of 25+ years is retiring. We currently have three elders, including our current pastor.
Location: Bethany is located about an hour northwest of the Twin Cities.
