Job Description
Fellowship is looking for a full-time, dynamic individual who will lead our vibrant children’s ministry. This role involves leading ministry volunteers to shepherd children in coming to know God by discovering Him in His Word. The ideal candidate will possess an undeniable passion for kids, a strong commitment to fostering spiritual development, and a gift for creating meaningful and vibrant programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills: Discipleship, team leadership, collaboration & communication, relational ministry, Biblical literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, creative program design, organized manager of people and resources, ability to identify, recruit, and deploy volunteers, live on the solution-side.
Experience: 3+ years leading a ministry area in a church of 500 or more, or similar experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in theology, education, or a ministry related field (preferred).
Gifts: Leadership, Teaching, Communication, Administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ministry Area Leadership
Express Fellowship’s vision and translate it to the children’s ministry, recruit and envision an army of both staff and lay leaders to realize that vision and make our Children’s ministry one of our flagship programs. (35%)
Ministry Programming
Design and develop excellent, age-appropriate programming that promotes spiritual growth and development, as well as attracts new families to the church. (35%)
Biblical Literacy
Identify and implement effective and Biblically grounded kid’s curriculum in each of the ministry programs that express the theological vision of our church in a way that engages and connects to kids and volunteers (20%)
Ministry Area Enrichment
Steward the church’s resources in a way that ensures the safety and protection of our kids, while making the ministry well-organized and attractive for all participants and volunteers. (10%)
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Senior Pastor, Seth McCoy
Supervises: Early Childhood and Kid’s Ministry Team
Serves As: A member of the Lead Team, FAC Staff Team, and Fellowship Alliance Chapel
