Job Description

Theta Baptist Church in Maury County, Tennessee, is seeking a committed Pastor to lead our congregation. We are a small, Calvinistic, elder-led, dispensational church upholding historic Baptist doctrine. We are looking for an individual with substantial preaching experience dedicated to pastoral duties and who has a clear calling from God.

Key Responsibilities:
– Expository preaching three times a week (Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening).
– Regularly visit church members and attend to visitors.
– Provide pastoral counseling and handle related issues with wisdom biblical teaching.
– Work with fellow elders to lead the church effectively as the ‘first among equals.’
– Manage and lead deacons effectively.
– Demonstrate servant leadership.

Qualifications:
– Extensive experience in preaching and pastoral duties.
– Must not be a recent convert and should be biblically qualified to serve as a pastor/elder.
– A family man with a wife and children is preferred, although not mandatory.
– There are no formal educational requirements, but one must demonstrate a strong personal calling to preach and pastor.
