Interim Pastor

Job Description

We are a premillennial Baptist church of roughly 80 regular attenders, located in the medium-sized city of Muncie, IN (about 3 minutes from the campus of Ball State University), and teach and preach the warm, evangelistic Calvinism of the New Hampshire Confession. Our congregation is a healthy mix of the old and young with many younger families with small children. By God’s grace, we are characterized by unity, joy in the gospel, and love for God, His Word, and the lost. Our long-time pastor recently completed his 18+ year, fruitful and faithful ministry with us and has left the church on good terms and in a relatively healthy condition. We are currently using pulpit supply week-to-week and also had a fill-in pastor for a six-week period. While we prayerfully seek our next lead pastor, who would ideally lead our congregation for the next several years, we are hoping to bring in an interim pastor to fill in the gap between now and then. We need a man to fill the role of pastor and shepherd to our congregation for an indefinite period of time, or obviously however many weeks/months he could provide. We are willing to negotiate on pay depending on how much service the candidate intends to offer to the church. The earliest starting date would be sometime around the beginning of February 2025.
